Mike Scanlin is a Venture Partner at Mistral based in California. Most recently, Mike was a Partner at Battery Ventures
where he focused on early-stage investments. To date, Mike has invested $86.5 Million in ten different companies, and has served on more than a dozen Boards of Directors.
Prior to joining Battery Ventures, Mike spent four years with Sierra Ventures, where he held board seats at Air Media, Steelbox Networks, 360Commerce (acquired by Oracle)
and Micro Power (acquired by Westin Presidio). He was a board observer for Axentis, DBS Communications, Element Labs, Vykor, and Zebra Imaging. Before Sierra, Mike was VP,
Entrepreneur Development Operations at Garage.com (now Garage Technology Ventures) where he personally read more than 10,000 executive summaries and helped dozens of companies
raise more than $330 million in venture financing. Mike also spent many years as a software engineer, and has been published more than 50 times. Other career highlights
include General Magic (Nasdaq IPO in 1997) and Storm Technology (Nasdaq IPO in 1994). Mike graduated with honors from UC San Diego with a Bachelor's Degree in Management Science.
He has held NASD Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
